Mediwhale is a pioneering AI healthcare startup focusing on predicting cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic disease (CVRM) risks using retinal biomarkers. The eye is the only organ where blood vessels are directly visible without invasive procedures, which is our key to unlocking unprecedented insights into human health.
Mediwhale provides retinal AI solutions that diagnose future disease risks early. We obtained medical device approval in South Korea in August 2022, and non-reimbursable prescriptions have been available at medical institutions since June 2023.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between physicians and patients, accelerating the transition toward personalized and sustainable healthcare. To realize this vision, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our journey. This position will report directly to the COO.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage overall finance, accounting, taxation, and treasury operations
- Establish and manage financial and managerial accounting for the headquarters and overseas subsidiaries
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and report key financial indicators
- Review budget plans for each business unit
- Handle financial due diligence and external audits (including investor relations support)
- Establish and optimize internal accounting control processes
- Supervise and execute cash management, fund operations, and financial planning
- Operate and manage the ERP system
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in managing financial accounting at a publicly listed company
- Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with accounting ERP systems
- Experience in introducing or improving internal accounting control systems
Prefferd:
- Professional proficiency in business English
- Experience in handling Initial Public Offering (IPO) processes
