About SaMD Team:

Mediwhale’s development organization consists of four teams: AI, SaMD, Solution, and Information Security. The SaMD team plays a central role in developing our core medical software.

SaMD products at Mediwhale encompass a wide range of features such as diagnostic capabilities, patient data management, security and authentication, report generation, and license control. These products must also meet complex regulatory requirements while addressing operational needs from the Sales team and field feedback from the Solution team.

Our mission is to develop safe, reliable software that balances these diverse demands while minimizing risk. To achieve this, we believe in designing robust systems, automating manual processes to reduce human error, and cultivating a sustainable development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop SaMD (Software as a Medical Device) products based on business, user, and regulatory requirements.
• Write testable code and implement test cases to ensure product safety and reliability.
• Collaborate with the AI team to deploy and manage AI models.
• Work with the Solution team to resolve issues reported in the field.
• Investigate production issues and implement solutions tailored to user needs.
• Build internal tools, systems, and processes to improve the development environment.
• Develop admin dashboards and tools to improve operational workflows.
• Create technical documentation for products.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• 1+ year of Python development experience or equivalent proficiency.
• 1+ year of experience with RDBMS or equivalent database knowledge.
• Foundational knowledge of computer science.
• Strong willingness to learn and explore new tools and technologies without resistance.

Note: Professional experience is not mandatory for all skills. We also welcome personal projects, open-source contributions, or self-taught knowledge.

Preferred:

• Experience deploying AI models using ONNX Runtime.
• Understanding of SaMD (Software as a Medical Device) regulations.
• Experience with healthcare data formats such as DICOM, EMR, PACS, or HL7.
• Familiarity with image processing or computer vision.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure.
